J'adore Dior!

Hi, loves! I'd like to share with you guys the new addition to my little makeup collection: Christian Dior 5 Couleurs Palette in Tender Chic (990)

First and foremost, the packaging is simply classy. Palette comes with two double ended applicators. Very light-weight. While the packing is made of plastic, it looks like it could be easily scratched. I don't like the fact that fingerprints could get so noticeable too. BUT, the mirror for me is a huge plus! The size of the mirror is pretty decent, abling you to see almost your entire face when you're touching up!

As for the colors, they're very chiq & very wearable. You can create a simple day-time look or if you want to go dramatic & get that smoked eye look, the brown in the palette is definitely your friend! The palette comes with 5 eye shadows with 4 shadows having slight shimmers in them & 1, which is the brown one, being the only matte in the quint. (Scroll down at the bottom for the swatches!) The textures are very soft. But, I find the light pink one to be a liiiiiittle chalky. It might just be me & probably the fact that I only swatched them once... Seems to me that they're pretty blendable. Which reminds me, I need to get a new blending brush ASAP.

I haven't personally tried them yet. So I can't tell you anything about the color payoff so far. But, I would post a new blog as soon as I can.

Palette is $60.00 at http://sephora.com

The one on the top left comes off looking like Plum on the picture. But, in person it's more like Old Rose. Top right is a very light pink with a nice iridescent to it. Lower left is the matte Brown. Lower right looks Yellow-y on the picture but, it's almost comparable to Naked 2's "Bootycall." And, the one in the middle, a nice frosty/shimmery highlighter.

(l-r) The frosty one in the middle, top left, top right, lower right, lower left.

I just wish they named the shades though. LOL.

Thanks for reading, friends! x

    1. It is a little pricey too here in Canada. But, yes, I finally used my palette last night & I must say, it's worth every penny!
